Why does Jacob's Syndrome Occur?
Jacob's Syndrome occurs when chromosome separation during anaphase II is faulty. This is called nondisjunction. Nondisjunction can result in sperm cells having the extra Y chromosome which ends up causing the XYY karyotype. This is a totally random event, and is not caused by the Mother's or Father's age.
